Day Thirteen
Yes, another rose - but I just cannot help myself. Seems to be the only place with color and I gravitate to it. It's still so full of life. If there were anything else holding so much beauty I'd use it.
It was very cold out this morning. As I shot away my fingers started burning from the cold, and the cold wind blowing caused my eyes to water. I couldn't see very well anymore and my hands were burning so I came inside hoping that there was something that was good. I couldn't see well enough to make sure things were in focus. When I checked I decided that this will do for today.

You will be very good at shooting roses by the end of the month :-)
ReplyDeleteJust how cold is it where you are???
This is beautiful.....why are your roses trying to bloom in the winter?
ReplyDeleteKaren - the temps have been in the teens F. Today got up to 30F, but the wind made it feel in the negatives.
ReplyDeleteLmorrow... they bloomed in spring, didnt do much in the summer, then started blooming again in the late fall. But there are some buds and roses that are kind of frozen in time, they started to go but stopped and didn't fully die, nor fully bloom. The other 'dead' things that are in the starburst shape are the fully dead roses.
Gorgeous colors, and lovely bokeh thanks to that shallow DoF.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous. Your gallery is so consistent in its white balance - it's really lovely. This rosebud is just beautiful, and the shades of color are terrific!
ReplyDeleteDon't apologize for the roses. They're gorgeous!
ReplyDeletegorgeous deep pink color. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteRoses have a delicious beauty all their own, keep them coming I love them!
ReplyDeleteThis one is charming and ads to your very beautiful gallery.
These all have a very special, sweet, dreamy touch. I really love how your theme works out.
ReplyDeleteI can see those framed or printed on canvas, hanging next to each other.
Gorgeous colour and clarity! Your gallery with all images on a poster together, is really starting to come together with those lovely splashes of matching pinky/red. This is all turning out very nicely. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty pink and the background enhances the rose. Thanks for going out in the freezing cold to shoot something for the day. It's such a joy to look at your photos. (I don't comment everyday but I always look!)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the weather is torturing you today. Good work!
