Day ThirtyOne

Here we are, day thrity-one. Last day of the month of January, last day of the challenge. Tomorrow we head into the contest! I don't think this challenge was as 'hard' or as 'stressful' as I've heard about in the past. It was actually pleasant and not hard at all. No day did I have to force myself to do this challenge, I was up for it each day - even while sick! It has been quite fun. I thought about taking this into the 365 day challenge to take myself through the backyard each season. But I know once we hit the middle of this year, life is going to be really busy and there is no way I'd be able to keep up with it. I look forward to the next 30 day challenge!
Thanks to everyone who has taken time out of their busy schedules to leave comments here! It's been a fun month and now I'll be lost as what to do with the time I normally shot, post and visit everyone else's pages!

  1. You have such an artistic eye. You make withered plants and flowers look so beautiful. I tried a couple of these, and they are certainly not easy, at least for me. But you give the rest of us something to strive for. Thank you. MadamMtnLion

  2. Your whole gallery is a tribute to your great eye. I love all your images. I'm glad you found the challenge easy, I did not. I just seemed to find it hard to come up with ideas for something new each day. Congrats on finishing the whole 31 days with such a wonderful outcome. Good luck in the hxh

  3. Well done for reaching the end. You did really well and all of your pictures are very beautiful. You have a good eye. Today's shot is just as beautiful as the others. Your whole gallery has been a pleasure to view.

The two photos that have stood out for me the most out of your collection have been :

Day 4. Such simplicity and beauty. It speaks volumes.
Day 27. Maybe not the best taken of your collection, but I really like the way the sun is shining on the leaf and I really like the detail.

Thank you for sharing your photos with us. I look forward to your gallery next year!! And a BIG thank you for all of your comment on my photos. Thank you for taking the time. I really appreciate it :-)

  4. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your backyard, even in the cold harshness of winter! You've been able to capture spots of beauty, and I love how all of your images have matched in color, depth of field, scale, creating a wonderfully cohesive overall gallery! I've loved watching it grow to the body of work it has encompassed.

I'd love to watch it change through the seasons, but I definitely agree that it would be a huge effort to take a picture every day for a year, even if it's in your own backyard!

  9. Congrats in making it! You had an incredibly lovely gallery, I admire how you continued to dig out sweet, touching things in such a barren landscape like a January backyard.
Your pictures are a coherent, wonderful portfolio.
